Givenchy Leather Derbies //
Is it black or is it white? As of right now I have chosen white. I had been eyeing Givenchy’s lace derbies via Instafeed and I couldn’t help but further research the Spring 2013 assortment. LN-CC always has the greatest selection of.. well.. pretty much anything that you really really want. And that is exactly where I found these wonderful white leather derbies.
Although from a distance they may seem simple, up close the details are to die for. The diamond shaped texture of the leather, the simple studs adorned across the sole, and the bolder metal lace tassel detail is what ultimately had me hurting in the pit of my stomach. (In a good way of course).
These babies may not be the most acquirable piece of footwear but if you’re in desperate need of some blanc in your shoe stash then these should fit the ticket.

This has got to be one of my favorite picks for SOTD for a very long while now. I forget exactly where I saw these but I noticed a lot of people sharing them around the internet after I started my shoe crush.
This further reinstates my opinion that this sandalette is just plain bad ass. I’ve been noticing a huge black and white movement since winter time where streetstylers have been going all white, all black, or a mixture of both. This trend is one of the most appealing to me making these shoes a great accessory to add into that equation. I think someday I’m going to just have to admit that color isn’t my favorite thing in the world although most blogger’s seem to want to throw color all in your face during spring.
I already love Cheap Monday for several reasons. I love their branding, overall casual style, price range, and the modern attitude of dressing according to ones own rules but keeping it simple.
So here’s to you Cheap Monday, and your pretty wicked footwear. I will (hopefully) be snatching these babies up very soon.

Acne Taurus in Black //
On the note of poetry,it also leads me into a place of mythology which a lot of my inspiration is based on. Although not necessarily mythological, these Acne platform loafers do have something in common at least within the myth of astrology. Black as night with specs of glitter adorning the rubber platform heel makes these brogues a tangible force to be reckoned with.
Taurus historically is associated with people who put value on practicality when choosing their possessions. Often times I personally associate a loafer with someone who is more practical especially within the work environment. They aren’t trying to overcompensate… but they still have taste. Most people associated with Taurus are actually said to look more wealthy than they actually are as they tend to always present themselves well dressed.
