This little photoset was very sporadic. Now that the weather has finally burst into it’s true spring form I really wanted to get outside as much as possible this week. Going to the local gorge is something that attracts a lot of us here in Erie mostly for it’s hiking and plethora of outdoorsy activities that we only get to enjoy about 2-3 months out of the year. It’s something I’ve been doing ritualistically since I was about 6 years old.
Even if I’m not dressed to play it doesn’t stop me from wanting to explore or get down and dirty. Or mostly just play in the water. I always find myself in a good mood when near water, in the middle of the ocean, swimming, or even just walking through it. So I think it sort of automatically makes for a few good pictures all in good fun.
There was a catch however. In the unplanned rush I forgot to bring my normal DSLR so a friend and I used her Iphone 5 which I have never done before when taking a technical “photoset”. It was nice to have a challenge in a different media. So a thanks is in order to Michele for taking these. xoxo

Since I’m on a black and white kick I figured this would be the perfect time to re-insert this style post that many people enjoyed. Although this was around the holiday season this fringe ombre dress from Pixie Market is a great transitional piece to wear during spring. All of the festival inspiration that used to include fringe has grown tired but I love the full length of the fringe and how much fun it is to walk around in. It’s almost like the dress has movement of its own.
One thing I definitely don’t miss is are my yellow tinted ends. A word to the wiser of us. Never use Manic Panic Banana Yellow unless you want it to literally hold onto your hair for dear life. My tint stayed in for literally almost an entire year and near the end of that… I was not a happy camper. Stick with hair chalking and colors that fade. Yellow is yellow for a reason. It’s dangerous.
